The funds were announced by Communities Secretary Sajid Javid as part of the government’s Local Growth Deal, bringing the total to £145.9 million successfully bid for in our area.
LEP chairman Barry Dodd, CBE said:
“This additional investment will be put to vital projects to help unlock our economy by creating thousands of new jobs, homes and attracting new private sector investment.
"It also recognises the vital work taking place with business and local authority leaders here, and their successful track record delivering on our Growth Deal promises.”
