In the meantime, according to the BBC, by the end of May, nearly 5,000 people had contacted the health and safety regulator with concerns that their employer would not be taking their safety seriously.
Now a local Customer Experience business has developed a quick and easy, digital solution to ensure all staff can communicate safety concerns on a regular basis at work.
The "COVID-19 Stay Safe Team Checker" has been created by insight6. This feedback system gathers instant information about team members’ concerns, freeing up management time. The system sends a real-time notification to a nominated person in the business, so if there is a concern about safety, it will trigger action - either anonymously or via a discussion of a possible solution and then implementation.
The set-up is extremely speedy and insight6 has organisations receiving feedback from staff within 48 hours of implementation.
Ian Sadler, Customer Experience Specialist for North Yorkshire, Humberside & Teesside says: “This new COVID-19 Stay Safe Team Checker is invaluable for companies that are concerned about the well being of their staff and who wish to be confident they are putting the correct safety procedures and policies in place. Teams have the comfort of knowing they have their safety concerns addressed and the management can rest assured they are doing all they can to implement a 2-way safety dialogue.
“We know from our own research, that business leaders are worried about how their team members are feeling about returning to the workplace. We also know the staff are really concerned. Having this checker in place should reassure everyone.”
