Richmondshire Business Week 2020 will go ahead this year, but virtually.

The week runs from 19 - 23 October and will feature the following events:


Innovation: Dr Jo North from The Big Bang Partnership will deliver an interactive and inspiring workshop on how to innovate from the inception of an idea to the implementation. within your own business.  There will also be a number of innovation support specialists on hand to help guide on the support that is available for businesses wishing to innovate including RTC North, PAPI, Biorenewables Centre York, The Spark Fund, Manufacturing Growth.


How to contract successfully- expert guidance in procuring and tendering

Building on the success of last year’s workshop, this session will cover where and how to find the right opportunities including lower value work not always put out to tender, how the tendering process works, and how to successfully navigate the process. The session will be led by Garry Stone, B2B North, a procurement expert.


Business Support Services Expo 

An expo featuring all the business support services needed to help a business start and grow.   There will be a range support services from funders to specialist sector support, training and skills advice to local and regional networks including the Manufacturing Growth Programme, The Spark Fund, York and North Yorkshire Growth Hub, Dales Business Women, The Supply Chain Network, Darlington College, B2B North, Trading Standards, Product and Process Innovation, and Skills Support for the Workforce, Enterprise Made Simple, York University, RCT North.


How to Start, Adapt and Grow your Food/Drink Business

Environmental Health experts will be on hand with information on starting, adapting and growing a food and drink business.   They will cover topics from adapting your business due to Covid-19, food hygiene inspections to registrations, licencing to allergens


How to Capitalise and Bring in those Staycation Bookings

Hospitality marketing expert Mark Simpson and The Digital Advantage Programme  bring you a workshop specifically aimed at the tourism and hospitality industry. 


Business Breakfast – Brexit, Covid-19 and Beyond

The York and North Yorkshire Growth Hub and The Department of Industry Trades have teamed together to show a positive way forward, to help a business adapt and be ready for anything. 


Wellbeing in the Workplace

This interactive workshop led by Kate Airey from Humanuture and North Yorkshire County Council will show how small changes can make a huge impact in the health and wellbeing of staff.
