England call-up for skiing duo

A duo of young skiers have been called up to the English Schools’ ski team.  Emily Riley and Isobel Brooks, Year 11 and Year 10 students at Richmond School and Sixth Form College, have been selected from ski racers across the country for the 2020 English Schools’ Senior Squad.

Road safety remains a top priority for students after experts delivered a range of topics to develop safer driving awareness. The Year 13 students, from Richmond Sixth Form College, took part in an initiative supported by the North Yorkshire Police Traffic Bureau, the Institute of Advanced Motorists and local racing driver and alumnus Max Coates.

Elite racing driver, Luke Constantine, has lifted two British Rallycross Championships

Two British championships for young racing star

Luke, a Year 11 student at Richmond School and Sixth Form College, was thrilled to take the Motorsport UK British Junior Rallycross champion title at his home circuit at Croft, near Darlington.  This came hot on the heels of him winning the British Trials and Rally Drivers Association (BTRDA) Clubmans Rallycross Champion at Knockhill Circuit, near Edinburgh where he won the junior super final and the driver of the day award to clinch the overall championship.

A celebration of inclusive sport in the community

Inclusive sport in the community was celebrated at a presentation evening hosted by Richmond School and Sixth Form College at the town’s Georgian Theatre.  The event marked the huge success of the school’s ‘Activities for All’ project, which successfully achieved funding of almost £10,000 from the National Lottery Awards for All’s ‘Big Lottery Fund’.
