International football triumph for Richmond players

Two students, from Richmond School and Sixth Form College, are celebrating after their team won an International Football Tournament.

Max Booth and Matty Callender, both Year 10 st’udents, were part of the Darlington Quakers U15 football squad who travelled to Holland to take part in the 33rd Blauw Zwart U15s International Tournament.

Brothers Jake and Charlie Stephenson are showing their mettle in a series of successes in local and national triathlons, duathlons and cross-country events. Eighteen-year-old Jake and Charlie, fifteen, who are both students at Richmond School and Sixth Form, are excelling at an elite level and gaining a reputation as Richmond’s answer to The Brownlee Brothers.

Aspiring opera singer, Sophie Montgomery, has made her debut with Scottish Opera Young Company and is already looking forward to performing with them next year.
