Ben Dowson is planning a degree apprenticeship in professional policing through North Yorkshire Police.  Whilst studying hard for his A-levels, achieving excellent grades of ABB in Maths, Biology and History, Ben devoted a significant amount of his time to working as a Police Cadet. Ben has really embraced his experience of policing and he is taking a year out to gain further work experience and is aiming to develop his skills working with the public.

Lee gives emergency treatment in M61 incident

A&E company director, Lee Whitworth, stopped on the M61 last week to help a gentleman who had fallen from a motorway bridge. 

Acting as first on scene until the fast response paramedic arrived, Lee assisted until the air ambulance arrived.

A&E Training are not just passionate about training, but also willing to put their skills to use when and if needed - and you never know when that's going to be.

A talented young musician is enjoying a double celebration after achieving a coveted place in the Tees Valley Youth Orchestra and taking centre stage at Ripon's mini folk festival. Florence Hall, a Year 11 student at Richmond School and Sixth Form College, has been accepted in the highly-acclaimed orchestra, which is the only full-size youth orchestra in the North of England.

Students experience first-hand the tragedy of the First World War

A group of forty Year 9 History students from Richmond School stepped back in time to the First World War to experience life as a soldier during the Battle of Passchendale.   Kitted out in replica WW1 uniforms, helmets and gas masks, all the students received the identity of an actual platoon soldier as they were taken back to 1917.

Judges were blown away by the outstanding performances of students at Richmond School and Sixth Form College’s first-ever talent show.  The line-up of eleven acts included vocalists, musicians, a comedian and dancers, offering a rich and diverse programme that was a feast for the audience’s eyes and ears.
